Nintendo-DS Translations in English
Name | Description |
Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch | This is a translation for the NDS game based on the anime, Code Geass. |
Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem Heroes of Light and Shadow | |
Hajime no Ippo the Fighting | This patch translates about 90% of the game. Mostly what is left are graphics. |
Jump! Ultimate Stars! | Now you can play the Smash Bros-like Jump! Ultimate Stars! in English. This translation translates most of the text, and is quite playable as everything needed to actually play the game is translated and more. It may not be perfect, but it's quite good. |
Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary | An english translation of the 15th Anniversary release of Puyo Puyo! (sometimes known as Kirby's Avalanche or Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine) for the Nintendo DS. This translation is quite professional looking. If you want to play the ultimate Puyo on your DS, look no further. |
SaGa 2 | Complete translation of SaGa 2 - Legend of the Relics - Goddesses of Destiny, a remake of the Gameboy game that was released as Final Fantasy Legend 2 in the US. |
Soma Bringer | This is an open translation of the RPG Soma Bringer, a game akin to Diablo, with dungeon crawling for all. |

Most of the games recommend below are 100% translated into English by fans, you can find them on gbatemp in the NDS translation section (either in the sticky thread or individual posts since the sticky thread isn't up to date), or romhacking.I'd also recommend Soma Bringer, get the English fanpatch for it.Then there's Summon Night X: Tears of Crown. I'll add that not all amazing titles were ported over, some because the Japanese devs thought tit wouldn't sell or because of licencing issues like with Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars, since they feature the manga/anime characters from the Jump magazine (including original voice actors and music!). And I think that i read some thought some titles would be impossible to translate due to the way the game was coded, so there wouldn't be space to change the kanji into normal letters (I think in one such case the fans proved them otherwise and were able to do it).Ni no Kuni DS is a great game yet it wasn't translated, despite the PS3 version being out in the English market and I think tehre were rumours it was going to get translated too but it was dropped, I think the reason was the physical spellbook and spellcasting - you need it to know what spells do and how to cast them. Or the Tales of series, those are very popular and so far almost every single one made it except the DS titles.Or Luminous Arc 3, we got the first two games but no the last one. The same goes for one of the Fire Emblem games which got fantranslated eventually.
